Wedding Planning Update

MARRY Saturday folks!! It's been a while since I last caught you all up with my wedding planning, but that's because things have been chaotic in life, and surprisingly smooth sailing (for now) with the planning process. Here are some updates!

Last time we met for Marry Saturday, I was talking about wedding dress options! Welp since then, I've narrowed it down from two dresses to THE one! So happy and I'm thrilled to show you all when I wear it in 81 days!

Mark also got fitted for his suit, and I la la LOVE it!! It's perfect for Maui, and for him!!

We got the bridesmaids dresses ordered. Since my lovely ladies are spread out in Cali and Washington, we had to go the smartest route and order online! So that we did, and are now awaiting for them to come in the mail to see if any tailoring needs to be done. Although I haven't decided on shoes yet... I'm debating between wedges or open toed bedazzled flats.

We also chose the groomsmen attire too! Since most of them are in Arizona (with one exception living here in Oregon), they will be going to the closest Men's Wearhouse to get fitted for their pants! AND they're having a deal right now... buy one get one free!! HOLLA!

As you read yesterday, we finally got our invites out in the mail!

My lovely (almost) mother in law and BFF (almost sister in law) are working on our party favors, and they are dahhhling!! Here's a sneak peak of some of the ingredients to create this masterpiece favor!

Two of my nearest and dearest aunties, Aunty One and Aunty June, recently made a weekend trip out to Maui to scope out the scene. By surprise, they were met up by my other super duper close cousin, Richard and his wifee Rho Rho, who stayed for a few days too!! They drove around Maui together to check out vendors! They even got to scope out the house that the wedding will be at! They were able to bring back plenty of information as to who to talk to and where to order from! I'm SO thankful they were able to go out there to see the location and peep out the scene... AND I'm super happy they went to get away from reality (they're honestly two of the most hardest working women I know and will do anything for our family!).

Sooooo, what we're in the process of finalizing is:

• The DJ (or band)
• Wedding Cake
• Florist and arrangements needed
• Shoes for the BM's and GM's
• Last but not least, so Etsy ordering will be done!

We've got plenty prospects... it's just a matter of choosing things we like, and of course can afford in our budget, especially since we didn't hit the Mega Millions last night!

High Five for Friday!

Oh, happy day.... it's FRIDAY!! Spring break or not, a Friday is a Friday in my books!!

My boo and I shared a delish Sunday night meal together, and had steak, potatoes, and artichoke! Oh... and wine! Scrummy in my tummy!

I broke in my new kicks (thanks to my boo) and the brightness actually motivated me to step it up a notch! I LOVEEEE Nike Free's... they are super duper light on your feet, and they come in all different colors! I have a black pair, coral pair and now PAAAANK pair :)

We finally got these puppies out and in the mail... so happy that I was able to get the cutie patootie wedding stamps we used for our STD's!

I received some updated dahhhhling pics of my little niecey-poo, KayCee!!

I'm at the last stages of my data collection, which means more work in analyzing the data, but super thankful I'll be able to start that stage and keep the progress going :)

Love of my Life

Happy Thursday! One day away from Friday heyyyy!!

I'm taking this time on my Free Fallin' Thursday to praise and share the love I have for my love, my all, my fiance, Mark! This is proabably one of the peak times I am drowning in stress.... collecting my data for my dissertation and trying to move forward towards the finish line... 83 days away from the big day... working a few jobs... and just dealing with life and being away from my family. 

No matter how low I feel, he's there with a smile... When he sees the tension in my face (which I can no longer hide from him), he pulls me away from my computer... When I cry, he assures me that no matter what happens, it will work out in the end, and we'll celebrate the victory together. This man was God sent to me and for me. Without him in my life, I wouldn't have any sanity. 

I will always celebrate him being in my life, as my (almost) husband, and that's more than I can ask for :)

1. When did you start blogging?

I just started blogging January of this year!

2. What made you start your blog?

I wanted to reflect back on things I'm grateful for each and every day... I also wanted to capture the little things that were important throughout my days, but seem to get lost when school and work becomes chaotic.... I blog to live in the moment!

3. What do you like to read about on other people's blogs?

I love to read and look at fashion posts, LOVEEEE DIY projects, and my love for photography is growing by the second!! Not that I'm a good photographer or anything, but I love admiring other peoples' work of art!

4. Have you ever regretted anything you've blogged?

NOPE!

5. What state/country are you from?

I'm from CALI-for-NI-AYE!

6. Where was the last place you went on vacation?

Western Samoa last June, and it was pure bliss!

Of course! Back to visit family and to eat my liver away with all that scrummy cultural food! :)

Mani Monday

Happy Monday Funday!! I've been MIA this weekend on here, only because I really had to buckle down with some school, work and wedding tasks! But it feels oh so good to be back in action on this fine Monday morning!! 

Thought I would take an approach from TBD (a site I visit daily!), and have a Mani Monday! The simplest thing to change up your outfit and accessorize are your nails! You don't need to do much shopping for painting your nails, as long as you've started a collection of a few bottles of polish at home!

Dear Friday, I MISSED YOU!! This week was super exhausting... staying up late nights, waking up at the crack of dawn to work out before going to work, and pounding the pavement trying to collect as much data as I possibly could for my dissertation.

Just so happy I can take a deep breath of fresh FRIDAY air!!!

We got the most snow we've had in the past year in ONE day! It snowed a blizzard, and didn't stop all day long... but the day after was bliss!

I finally went out and grabbed some of the infamous Baby Lips, and I la la LOVE it (Pink Punch is my FAVE)!!

We finally finished printing our wedding invitations, and all we need to do is assemble and address em... and OFF they go!

Today (after work) marks the first day of Spring Break! It'd be nice to be have some sunshine and a beach...Nevertheless, I can catch up with school and life without having to go int he office!!
