Needled Necklace

There's something about when peeps compliment on your jewels and you're able to say, "This old thangg?? Oh I made it myself!" I ain't gon' lie... this DIY project didn't stress my fingers or strain my eyes.... BUT it was fun to make, especially because I got more practice using tubular beading tools!

I was able to connect the chain with extra links I cut, so I didn't need an extra clasp. All you essentially need is a chain, any type of statement beads/jewels that catch your eye, and some flat nosed pliers so you can remove the beads and attach them to your chain!

If you missed out on my wired rings, you can catch a glimpse here. I also made a vintage statement necklace I posted here.

What kind of jewels have you been crafting up lately? If not crafting, which ones have you been wearing?

Dainty Jewelry Inspiration

I don't know about you, but wearing some cute dainty jewelry makes me feel super chic and lovely! Any time I see anything with hearts and bows, just melts my heart. And two of my greatest gooorlfrannnds know me too well! For my birthday, my SIL/BFF got me this gorg LC Lauren Conrad bow ring...

...and coincidentally, one of my other greatest gal pals, who blogs at bits-and-pieces, made me these two beauties for my birthday! It was perfect timing because I received these bracelets the day after my LC bow ring!! How adorbs is this wired jewelry?!?! I am in la la LOVE!

All three pieces of jewelry totes caught my curiosity with HOW?!?! Inspired and flabbergasted by these uhh-mazing DIY bracelets, I turned to Pinterest (of course), which further turned me to a FAB blog, I Spy DIY. I gave it a shot and extended my dainty jewelry by adding a heart and bow ring I wired up!

I can use more practice, especially using my own fingers to size the rings (my Hubs was a great sport in helping me size my rings with his fingers, but by guesstimating, it still turned out bracelet-sized!). But the simplicity of the jewelry totes catches my eye!

And of course, I can't forget my LLL's of the week!

LOVE
I love jewelry that has inspired my arts and craft time lately! These dainty arm candy being one inspiration, and the vintage statement necklace I did (here) being another!

LEARN
I learned that my fears may be consuming my life more than I think they do! I am slowly learning to let my FAITH replace my fears, and telling my fears, "I ain't got time for you!" A powerful message I tell ya!

LAUGH
I really laugh out loud at myself, as I've been conducting my own photoshoots lately. Doing the poses, then looking back at my photos makes me chuckle because it's SO out of my element. But, I'm all about trying new thanggggs, so it's been FUN!

Making a STATEMENT

I saw this DIY statement necklace ages ago (okay a bit exaggerated), and fell in love with how adorbs and totes wearable it be! I just had to take a stab at it!

Thanks to my Pops and Step-Mom's birthday gift (Michael's gift card), I snagged these cute buttons from Michael's! Without further ado, the easy peasy materials needed and few steps to get this puppy hangin' from your neck!
I love how you can pick and choose different buttons to put together for whatever kind of statement you feel like making! What do you think? Will you give this a shot?
