Fa la la la la

Jammin to Christmas music and lip singing with my head motioning the high and low ranges has been my THANG lately. Okay... lately for the past month kinda' lately. I LOVE Christmas music!! Nothing takes me back to my childhood like it!

I love how a song can take me back to decorating the tree with my family at my grandma's house

... Or remind me of how we used to go see Santa (who conventiently lived down the street from us) every single year and take pictures sitting on his sleigh

... Or take me back to being an elf helping my Aunts wrap every single gift that came out of the neverending sack in her room, and being "surprised" when she told me I was wrapping my own gift...

That's the gift of music... any kind of music at that, but my fave being Holiday music! My all time fave (as I'm sure goes the same for most of you) is the Mariah Carey Merry Christmas CD! BUT... I must say that my list of faves has grown, thanks to Pandora. I've been listening to Mariah Carey Holiday Radio, which plays a GREAT variety!! My fave artists on that station??...sooo glad you asked!

Music Love

Merry Monday! Hope your weekend was full of love, laughter, and RAIN! It's been raining here in Oregon like no other, and I'm still in denial summer is over.... wahhhhhh!

BUT I still did manage to smile.. especially rocking out to some mighty fine music! My younger cousin, Kyle has been quite the musician since he was a baybay! His first song he mumbled in baby talk was All My Life by K-Ci & JoJo. He taught himself to sing, to play the drums, the piano, and his masterpiece... the guitar! He's come quite a long way, and still has a long road ahead of him that I foresee is full of nothing but success!

Check out his newest video he posted on YouTube, his rendition of Valerie by Amy Winehouse. It's one of my faves, and was the exit song for us at our wedding! (don't mind his funny facial expressions in the beginning of the video!)

Onto some another topic... Since last week was cray cray being home, I wasn't able to post on Monday and missed out on my LLL's of the week (what I have loved, learned and laughed about throughout the week). So I'm ooberly excited to share my LLL's of THIS week!

LOVE

I love being home in Cali, but love my husband even more, and was so happy to reunite with him when I got back to Oregon!

LEARN

I learned that I have back muscles I never knew existed, which were (and still are) killing me from a bootcamp workout!! Love that our trainer is pushing the limits each and every single morning!

LAUGH

I got a good laugh while I was face-timing one of my cousins while the OSU game was on. Apparently I didn't know how loud I was screaming at the TV until she got my attention at one point and reminded me I was home... ALONE... and that nobody could hear me LOL!

Music to my ears

I was one of those people who looked confused when others say "I listen to ALL kinds of music!" ummmm.... how is that possible?! How is that an answer? What does that mean?!

I'll tell you what it means... as I just found out myself! I have tons of Pandora stations set up without being aware of what's really going on! Then I look at my YouTube favorites, and spread across the board are litterally ALL kinds of music!

Reggae, rock, classical rock, country, pop, rap, and my favorite music of ALL mankind... my Samoan jams! I looooooove me some Samoan music... puts me in the bayyyst mood evahhh!

It's really like a collection of life events from when I was a kid and had no say so in what radio station we were listening to... to going to the infamous reggae concerts in college... to cleaning my own apartment while I fancy some wine :) These memories that I continue to build with music can never be taken away from me, and every single song has a story imprinted in my heart!

In light of a fine Thursday afternoon, I want to share just a few of my favorites with you:

Hard to pick videos, espeically if they're not actually videos, but you can press play and jam out while you work away, or read, or clean, or whatever your heart desires!
