July's Birchbox

Happy Tuesday lovely ladies!! I know I'm a bit late for my Birchbox show and tell, but I really wanted to share this one with you guys because I've been using the products in it and I'm lovin' it!

First off, isn't the box pretty and colorful?? Loved last month's theme incorporating the five senses!

These minteas are delish!! They have just the perfect hint of cocoa in em, but they're not too sweet (like the orange tic tacs) where you wanna eat the entire can at once!

I love me some sample perfumes, and this new Harvey Prince Hello scent is refreshing and light... just the hint of summer you need!

How cute are these watermelon buds?? My fave item thus far!

I've been dying for one of these beautyblender's... and honestly it's one of the reasons I joined Birchbox! I saw on someone's blog the review for this pretty lil' foundation sponge, and was willing to wait for one of em! Wish come true... but kinda' shattered dreams! After giving it a few shots with my concealer, I'm not as big of a fan... it soaked up almost all of my concealer before I even got to spread it over my face! Still cute though!

This stila lip gloss is another one of my faves!! The tint of pink is perfect and I can so dig the brush! I have another gloss like it that clicks, but the color of this gloss wins me over!

I saw many of you received similar items as I did last month, so I hope everyone was tickled pink like I was. I just hope August is just as pleasing as July!

Don't Worry Be Happy!

Happy Monday my lovees!! Hope your weekends were swell and honkie dorie! Mine was surely HOT and superb!! Took our doggies to the lake and they had quite a swim and play date with all the other doggies! And now it's Monday again... bright news is it's the FIRST DAY OF FALL CAMP! Football season here we go!!!

Soooo, remember my infamous first vlog post about being PRESENT?! Well I have really been working on that lately, and reminding myself of my lil' message I presented to the bloggy blog world, and it's been going great (so far). Not that every day is perfect... but I've been able to keep my wondering mind to a minimum compared to the usual!

Since that vlog, that topic got my wheels turning, and I was thinking... another thing I really want to work on is being happy. Sounds cliche right? WELP, how many of you guys are people pleasers??? (I know you're secretly raising your eyebrows if not your hands)! I most certainly am. I feel that if everyone else around me is happy, I can be happy! WOMP!!!

I'm slowly but surely learning that this isn't entirely true. You can't help others if you don't help yourself... in other words, I can't make others happy if I'm not happy! And I also can't make others happy if they don't want to make themselves happy! I know you guys are probably thinking... DUH... I coulda told you that! I actually already knew this... it's just some days are clearer than others, and today it's crystal clear to me! This is something I want to work on just as I have been working on being present and in the moment!

What makes me happy??  (singing...) These are a few of my favorite things...

That's what I'll be working on, and I wanted to share that with you since I feel like I'm held more accountable to it when I say it out loud!

I love that I'm officially 3 days away from being home! YIPPPEEEE!!

LEARN

I learned that it's not others who determine my happiness... I create my own happiness!

LAUGH

I laughed quite a bit on Friday at work... we had our annual golf tournament, and the coaches can relax quite a bit and share a few chukkles, especially when they're out of the office and on the golf course!

Top Five and a Wedding Reveal!

My family was here for the weekend and oh what a blissful one it was!! We hiked each day they were here (Fri, Sat, and Sun) and on a different trail each day!! The photos came out stunning!! Check em out on Instagram (@SnapBevSnap)! Anyhoots, they came down for a close family friend's wedding, which was stunning!! Total country wedding and gorgeous couple they make!!

I attempted to make cupcake meatloaf... inspired by Pinterest, of course. I saw a fellow bloggette posted her recipe, which finally inspired me to try em out! Besides my husband didn't want spaghetti and I had to use the turkey ground beef!! WARNING...Picture doesn't do justice as to how they tasted!

A week from NOW, I'll be home getting hyped for our family reunion, and I - C A N T - W A I T!!!

The hubs and I wrote our own vows... and long story short, the Reverend almost forgot to let me say my own vows, even after repeating after his vows. Seriously, if it wasn't for me whispering as I turned away from the audience to get my ring from my MOH, "Excuse me... I NEED to say my own vows..." he wouldn't have remembered that I had my own words for this guy I was marrying!! So he announced that the floor was all mine... and I began to read from my index cards (you honestly don't think I would memorize each precious word I wanted to tell him... even after NUMEROUS amounts of rehearsals reading my vows to my gooorls!!). SO what I want to share with you all is that...

I TOTES INCORPORATED LOVE, LEARN, AND LAUGH INTO MY VOWS TO MY HUSBAND. I promised to love him (and some...), I promised to learn with him (and some...), and I promised to laugh with him... sometimes at him (true story). This blog is a part of my life, and I really came up with the title based off of some of my lowest lows, through my highest highs.. if that makes sense? Anyhoots, I thought of you all while I wrote them, and how much it really means to me literally to love, learn, and laugh in life!

Wedding Ceremony

Hi Friends! Thank you all for your sweet comments yesterday on our pre-ceremony pictures. I'm glad we were able to capture how much fun we really did have during that time in Maui! Moving on with my wedding series, here are the actual ceremony pictures! Grab a cup of coffee, and enjoy the ride!!
