Our Maui Estate

Happy Monday!! Hope your weekend was as fantab as you be! I pretty much did nothing... which felt OH-sum! I did work on editing and organizing some of my photos, but didn't get as far as I wanted to.

Trying to find some rhyme or reason with my billion Maui pictures, I figure I would begin my story telling with where we stayed during week #1 in Maui... Pahana Farms Estate (which is where the wedding was). UHHH-flippin-MAZING!! The drive was pretty rough... once you turned from Hana Highway which was just a regular scenic highway, you hit a turn where it lead to an unpaved road that was so narrow that the car you were in could barely squeeze through. But, once you got through the turns, winds, gravel and trees, you were lead to a gate which unveiled the breathe-taking view of the property!

There were three different houses on the property, which slept a total of 18 people. The pool house was absolutely stunning!! The top floor had a room that overlooked the entire ocean and property. It had a vaulted ceiling, with adorable little wooden emblems across the roof of a moon, the sun, a star, amongst others! Then the bottom floor of the pool house was another gorgeous room with the most comfortable bed in all land! Both rooms of the pool house shared an outside shower which was secluded.

The other house was more like separated rooms which were semi-attached. There was a porch in between each bedroom. They called these the Bungalows. The two rooms that were on the outside of the middle room were identical. Same set up, bed, and bathroom. Each of the three bungalow rooms had a flat screen tv and cable, which was superb for relaxing! They also each had a lanai which overlooked the greenery that surrounded us!

The third house was the Main house, as they call it. It was more like a real house, with a full kitchen, two bedrooms, each with their own bathroom and showers. One room actually had a lanai as well, which is where that room's shower was located. It was absolutely refreshing to shower in that shower!! Being outdoors, but covered by bamboo walls was amazing! The main house also slept the most people since there was a couch that turned into a bed, as well as another bed in the den area. (I wasn't able to find ANY pics of the main house... WOMP!)

Each room had a mini fridge and coffee maker, which was super convenient! The one thing that totally made the house WORK for us was that the kitchen was outdoors. A full-on kitchen with a dining table that was super long (like last supper long), and a seating area with couches on the side of the kitchen. It was like the central meeting point for the entire family for each meal of the day, and just to hang out and chit chat our lives away!

The only "bad" thing I can think of was the mosquitoes! We had tons of mosquito repellent in all shapes, sizes, and colors! But nothing could have kept those life sucking things completely away! Other than mosquitoes, the estate was all we could have hoped for, and some!! It was the perfect spot to tie the knot!

There you have it... our home during the first week in Maui! Can't end it here though peeps... gotta get my LLL's to ya' from this past week!

LOVE
I love that I feel well rested and I'm finally getting back into the groove of things. It's taken me super longer than I anticipated, but so much has happened in the month of June, it's almost taking one full month to recover!

LEARN
I have learned through my fellow bloggettes that it's perfectly fine to relax and do something for myself without feeling guilty. With that said, I shall spend some time crafting, reading, and doing whatever I want!

LAUGH
Reliving through story telling about my wedding has made me chuckle it up with my family! There were stories I didn't even know about that made me laugh so hard while instant messaging with my cousin, Lisa... and what makes me laugh harder was trying NOT to laugh while I was at work!

How was your weekend? What were your LLL's of the week?? Happy Monday to you all!!

Can I say JEALOUS!!????!!??? holy beautiful. I love the outdoor kitchen as a huge meeting place for families. One day I will have my own. The outdoor shower is one of the things I have always wanted to have in a Caribbean vacation but have yet to experience. So nude and vulnerable in public yet so private. Love it, very sexy..
