Let's continue on with our Maui trip, shall we? Only a few more sections to go, and of course, the big day which I am STILL waiting for the disc to arrive!
If you missed any of the Maui series, you can check out some of the pics I shared when I came back here, or you can peep out my Small Kine Wedding Show and Tell post, Our Maui Estate, or our Wedding Rehearsal. Today I'll continue on with Maui Part III, sharing some pictures from our weekend spent in Kihei (KEY-hey) with the entire family! I didn't really capture much of the timeshare we stayed in, but thanks to some of my sister, Kaloni's pictures, I'm able to share some pictures of the town with you all!
When we checked into the timeshare, they told us that we had a package delivered which they stuck in the fridge.. Mark and I looked at each other confused, and thought they must have delivered to the wrong room because we weren't expecting anything! By this time, the wedding was doneZO, so it took us completely by surprise to walk into the room finding a box of these goodies!
Our good friends, Joni and Whit Whit sent us these delish chocolate covered strawberries that were so scrummy!! It was a pleasant surprise, especially since we had NO idea where the time share was until we got there! LOVE THESE GALS!!
Being at Pahana Farms in Huelo was in the middle of a gulch. So we had to shop while we were in town, and cook all of our meals. The great thing about going to Kihei was all the food we had access to!

Of course, I had to indulge in the infamous Mc Donald's breakfast! I had Portuguese sausage, rice and eggs! I absolutely loveee that they serve rice with everyyyything!

There were so many fish trucks set up on the roads, we had to try as many as we were able to! And the fish was SO fresh it just melted in your mouth!

The best food I had in Kihei was at Da Kitchen! Super local and super good!! That plate staring at you in the face is a Loco Moco plate... if you don't know what it is, my heart aches for you b/c this is one plate of deslish-ish-ness you must try at one point of your life!! It's rice, a hamburger patty, eggs on top, with gravy and onions smothered all around it! YUMMO!
If you've been to any of the islands of Hawai'i, you know how shaved ice is a part of your daily routine! We were sure to visit this local Shaved Ice store that was walking distance from the time share! And of course, you must get it with vanilla ice cream on the bottom... a concoction that will never ever disappoint you! PROMISE!
And of course, some shots of the family to share with you guys! It was SO ideal that we had a bbq/eating area at the time share right outside of our rooms that we were able to hang out at, eat, shoot the breeze, and laugh our cheeks away!
I tell ya... there's nobody that can make you laugh, cry, or feel anything other than GREATNESS like your family! Through thick and thin, drama and more drama, I wouldn't trade ANY of my family for anything or anyone!!

Your such a great descriptive blogger. I wish to aspire to your level. I think that's the correct word. lol First of all, loco moco looks huge. and it actually sounds good to me. Not sure my tummy would like it, but I know it would taste good going down. You look like you guys had the greatest time ever. And finally I want to eat my computer screen. Chocolate covered strawberries is one of my fav. desserts. EVER!!!
