It's what makes or breaks us in life. I shared a snippet of what I learned in my LLL's earlier this week, and I just want to take a moment to dig deeper. A lot is going on in my life right now... like most of the universe. Some things good, others bad. I've always turned to my husband and family during these times, and I continue to do so. I had a conversation with an Aunty of mine this past weekend, and it barely got past the Hello's and How Are You's... then BOOM! Instant tears.
She calmly said... "I wanna give you one piece of advice and I want you to listen closely... you're going to have plenty doors slammed in your face... you're going to have sad feelings and even feel discouraged. What makes a difference will be your ATTITUDE. It's okay to feel bad and distraught, but don't get stuck in those moments. Pull yourself up and dust yourself off and prepare to change your attitude." TRUTH!!!
THEN... on Sunday at church, the message was about endless good's and bad's that we have had, or will have, in life. BUT through it all, God has our back... it's our ATTITUDE that will determine how we deal!
There it was... the message written clear in my mind. Don't like the situation I'm in?? Change my attitude! Feel that I'm never getting any answers?? Change my attitude! Feel like the world is against me, and I just can't catch a break?? CHANGE MY ATTITUDE!
Words that I took to heart, and words that need to be repeated every so often!

Looks like God was definitely teaching you a lesson...and bringing a lovely aunt into your moment of frustration to remind you: hand over what you can't control and what you can control: your attitude.
Beautiful words of wisdom from your aunt! <3
I needed to hear this today as well.
